Hello! Today, I'm going to share my experience of replacing an EC sensor, which is essential for crop cultivation.

As always, agricultural machinery tends to have problems suddenly. This time, the EC sensor broke down, making it difficult to manage the nutrients of the crops.

But don't worry! Replacing a new EC sensor is easier than you think. Follow the process I went through step by step.

Smart Farm Diary-1

πŸ›  1. Preparation for replacing the broken EC sensor

First, prepare to remove the broken sensor and install a new one.

The first thing to do is open the instrument panel!

TIP: Check where the EC sensor wire is connected inside the instrument panel. This will make the work easier.

Prepare a flathead screwdriver.

Use a screwdriver to disconnect the wire connected to the broken EC sensor from the instrument panel.

β†’ You can prevent wire damage by separating it carefully.

Remove the broken sensor from the gray case.

TIP: Separate and store the broken sensor cleanly, or discard it.

πŸ”§ 3. Installing the new EC sensor

Prepare the newly purchased EC sensor.

Insert the sensor wire into the instrument panel and connect it to the mainboard.

β†’ At this time, tighten the wires firmly with a flathead screwdriver.

Combine the gray case to the new EC sensor.

β†’ It is important to secure it well so that there are no problems with the sensor operation afterwards.

βš™οΈ 4. Calibrating the EC sensor

It's not over just because you installed the sensor!

You need to perform calibration work to ensure accurate measurement using a calibration solution (1413ΞΌS/cm).

Put the sensor in the calibration solution and check the measured value.

If the value is 1.3, the calibration is successful! πŸŽ‰

TIP: After calibration, it is a good idea to wipe off the calibration solution and rinse the sensor with clean water.

EC sensor replacement, it's that easy!

I was a little frustrated at first, but as I followed along step by step, I was able to complete the replacement without much difficulty.

Since the sensor is working accurately, crop management will be much easier. 😊

Don't be afraid to replace the EC sensor, everyone!

If you follow it correctly, it's a complete replacement success. Have a successful farming day today! 🌿
